Vocabulary builder
Look up words as you read — definitions, pronunciation, etymology, synonyms and antonyms. Save the sentence where you found the word. Revise with Hangman, Flashcards, Multiple Choice, Type It, and Crossword.
Notes & Quotes
Add marginalia to any book: a per-book glossary of terms, quotes, and notes in your own words. Downloadable when you finish a book.
Reading tracker
Track what you're reading across Currently Reading, On the Shelf, Library Loans, Finished, and Wishlist. Scan an ISBN to fill in details. View richer reading stats by recording year of first publication and finish dates.
Offline capability
Works without a connection once words are looked up so you can revise instead of doomscrolling. Install as a PWA on iPhone, iPad, or Android for a full app experience. Back up your data to Google Drive or export as JSON.
Bibliomuse
Community reading lists. Browse and create curated lists by category, and recommend books from your own library.
Why I built this
🌿 So many reading apps reward speed and quantity, quietly pushing us towards easier, faster reads.
🌱 I wanted to build something different: an app that encourages people to spend time with more challenging texts, wrestle with better ideas, and grow their personal vocabulary along the way.
🌳 The aim is not simply to read more, but to read more deeply.
🍃 This app is designed for people who want offline games and reading tools that strengthen attention, build connections in the brain, and make the quiet work of thinking feel rewarding.
Your data
No account needed. Words and books are stored in your browser — nothing personal is sent to the server. Word lookups query the Wiktionary API; ISBN scans query Open Library. See the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Use Export in Settings to back up, and Import to restore on another device.
Please only save short excerpts — a sentence or brief quote — from books you are reading.
